
- I’ve followed iquest’s work for a long time, and when we started looking for solutions to simplify and streamline our property operations, Orbiq was a platform we wanted to evaluate.
One of Vasakronan’s challenges was the lack of a centralized view of all operational alerts generated in their properties. They also faced difficulties with access and permission management for building technology and were using multiple solutions to forward operational alerts. This made it difficult to establish an efficient information flow from alert to action.
- Today, we use Orbiq as our technology portal, where we and our partners can easily log into our technical systems in a secure and structured way. Orbiq also acts as an alert hub where alerts are routed and stored before being directed to the correct recipient. This has provided us with a much smarter information flow and also allows us to conduct better analyses of the collected information.
The results have been very positive. Everyone working with the properties now has much better control over their operational alerts, and the permission management for technical systems makes the work both easier and safer. With a consolidated view, technicians have also been able to identify properties that require additional measures to optimize operations and energy use.

- It’s so much easier to have everything in one place. I no longer need to navigate between different systems; everything is consolidated into a single platform. I would describe it as an 'overarching system' where Orbiq integrates all subordinate systems into one. Orbiq also keeps track of who should handle different alerts. It becomes a portal where each technician can manage everything within their responsibility, all in one place.
Tobias and Martin have played a major role in developing this solution. The more clients that use it, the better it becomes, and the cheaper it gets to operate. Martin hopes that more property companies will get involved.
- The need for a service like Orbiq is great, and it’s important that we contribute our expertise, giving it an open-source feel. Vasakronan’s ambitions and needs align well with iquest’s development of Orbiq. It’s also rewarding to be part of the journey and to see it continuously develop in the right direction.
